Role Description:
Under Direct Supervision, this position is responsible for safely cleaning and sanitizing plant facilities and production lines. incumbent will work closely with a sanitation team to perform various cleaning duties to ensure that standard processing equipment and infrastructure comply with goverment and Company rules and regulations.
This position works under various environmental conditions (cold, hot, wet, dry, and noisy).
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position requires the ability cleaning and safety procedures.
- Fully complies with all safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration(OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Fully complies with Good Manufacturing Practices(GMPs) for a food plant and all applicable regulatory, customer, and company requirements(policies, procedures, regulations).
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment, tools and facility to ensure all soil and contaminants are removed per procedures.
- Operates COP tank cleaning equipment to clean tools, pipes and other disassembled equipment.
- Disassemble and reassembles equipment as directed by facility leaders.
- Follow sanitation schedules to conduct and doument routine cleraning of the facility and production line, including but not limited to sweeping ,shoveling, lifting, scraping and brushing.
- Properly use and documents chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications as directed by Sanitation experts to assure effective cleanign and minimize risk of personal injury or property damage.
- Verifies and documents that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indictor tests.
- Responsible to conduct yourself in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Years of Related Experience: 0-1 Years of related experience.
- Basic Math Skills(adding, subtracting, multiplym and dividing whole numbers, decimals and fractions); Strong reading skills to understand documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong Verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate steam and high pressure hoses
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability and willingness to work in various environmental conditions including hot, cold, wet, dry, and noisy environments
- Ability to take direction from others.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.75 - $20.75 per hour
