About This Position

Under supervision of the Nutrition Services Director, the Satellite Kitchen Cook is responsible for the safe operation of a satellite kitchen. Responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of foods in large quantities;maintaining appropriate inventory levels; completing food and physical safety related tasks; operating a point-of-sale; maintaining all necessary documentation; and other related tasks as required.

Compensation

• The Satelite Cook Kitchen I position is at Level I of the classified salary schedule and is based on a 179-day/9-month work year. Current salary is based on the 2022-23 salary schedule; 2023-24 schedule is currently being negotiated.
  
• The estimated beginning salary for this position is $16.34-$17.33 per hour; however, highly experienced candidates may be placed higher on the salary schedule at hiring.
  
• Applicants who hold a Bachelor's degree will automatically be placed at Step 3.
• Where will I be placed on the salary schedule?
• In addition to this salary, the Canby School District will pay the employee’s 6 percent PERS contribution.
  
• This position is eligible for full-time benefits.

Applicant agrees to assume cost and arrange for a fingerprint-based criminal records check upon offer of employment ($10-$20 at printing; $66 payroll deduction). Applicant has the choice to pay the $66.00 fingerprint fee up front or have the fee deducted from their first paycheck.
