Schedule is:
Sunday thru Wednesday (5:30am-3:30pm) / Includes approximately 1 Saturday per month (5:30am-3:30pm), which could be overtime. Full-time and benefit eligible.
Remote working optional, must come into the office at times. It can be remote 2-days per week after a month or so of training. Training will be held onsite from Tuesdays thru Fridays to start off with. After successful training, will work the posted shift and hours (see above).
$20.00 to $24.00 Hourly

- Our Executive Chef Paul Kennedy is a Michelin star trained Chef with 20+ years experience working in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Dubai, Muscat, Doha, Bangkok & Washington DC. - We will open 3 more dining rooms, including Contemporary Dining, Café Grill Dining and Fine Dining
- We will install a Stone Pizza Oven currently being hand-built in Italy for casual and gourmet pizza's
- We will open 2 more kitchens, including 1 kitchen measuring at 3000+ square feet
- We are currently hiring and will be ramping up our hiring needs in January 2023

Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Food Service Director, plans, and organizes the staffing schedule for the Food Service Department, to provide adequate service coverage in accordance with the mission and values of Royal Oaks Ensures that minimum staffing requirements are maintained in each area of the department.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Updates the Resident Kiosk located in the main lobby area with two weeks menus provided to her by the Food Service Coordinator.
Processes all food service invoices in EFinance as needed and creates reports weekly.
Maintains adequate staffing for Dining, and Kitchen positions.
Ensures staffing coverage in all specified areas; process the revised and/or updated schedule(s) on employee website according to special requests, PTO, leaves of absence, etc., as they are received. Accepts "call-offs" from all food service staff and records all "call-offs" in the schedule(s) records.
Completes and verifies time and attendance records; investigates discrepancies as required and maintains leave records. Prepares Enterprise eTime reports for payroll processing.
Prepares and provides monthly staff schedules, approves PTO requests according to the individual employee accruals and in consideration of maintaining staffing ratios in the food service department.
Interacts courteously and appropriately with employees and potential candidates under a variety of conditions and circumstances.
Utilizes the electronic scheduling system to maintain schedules, including approval and documentation of PTO, leaves and transfers.
Maintains budgeted Hours as directed by the Food Service Director.
If a job offer is made by the supervisor, and upon completion of hiring process, staffing coordinator provides orientation schedule. Supplies new food service staff members with all new uniforms and work schedule.
Manages the uniform orders for each employee that includes placing orders, receiving orders, distributing uniforms, ensure payroll deduction forms are completed and submitted to HR when applicable, and processes returns of any uniforms that are per order.
Communicates needs effectively to staff via the electronic scheduling program when needed.
Accepts call offs and determines if replacements are needed to ensure adequate staffing.
Completes payroll process bi-weekly by ensuring that all hours and time off for each employee is accurately reflected in the HR Payroll Electronic Program. Completes and verifies time card records; investigates discrepancies as required and maintains leave records.
Coordinates specific schedules for staff who are completing certification or other scholastic programs that is being sponsored by Royal Oaks.
Confidentiality maintain discretion when discussing sensitive confidential information.
Interpret and communicate Royal Oaks policies and procedures as they apply to employees, referring to the employee handbook.
Interacts effectively with department supervisors regarding any staffing needs, changes in hours or schedules, transfers or discharges.
Keep the Food Service Management Team informed on all employee and time card related matters.
Interacts courteously and appropriately with residents, family members, visitors, and other employees under a variety of conditions and circumstances.
Full understanding of residents’ rights, including the right to be free of restraints and free of abuse. Is responsible for promptly reporting to Health Services Director or Chief Executive Officer (CEO) incidents or evidence of resident abuse or a violation of residents’ rights.
Assists in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment. Reports all deficiencies to the appropriate person, such as equipment problems, need for repair or special needs of residents.
Perform a variety of clerical duties to include: answer telephone, screen and refer calls as appropriate; deliver messages and provide information to personnel upon request; photocopy, file, and send faxes.
Ensures facility and department policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as local and state regulations, are met and followed.
Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed food safety, sanitation and infection control procedures, including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves and other personal protective equipment where indicated.
Attends and participates in training activities, seminars, and meetings when required.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of human resources concepts, practices, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques

Education and Experience:
- Preferably a two year degree from an accredited college or university.
- Preferably two years of experience performing Staffing related tasks or a combination of education, training and experience that would ensure the effective execution of the duties of the job.
- Has CPR certification card, First Aid certification card, and Fingerprint card or is willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Competency in the position maintained through continuing education
Communication Skills:
- Has outstanding communication skills; who can dramatically and effectively communicate an overall vision of the enterprise to employees at all levels.
- Clear speaking voice, must be fluent in English; bilingual would be a plus.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Excellent telephone and customer service etiquette.
