Position Opening: Head Seamstress
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Tremont Sporting Co. is looking for motivated individuals to fill a head seamstress position. Candidates are suggested to have prior experience working with leather and should be proficient in the use of a standard sewing machine as it relates to the construction of leather goods and accessories. The employee’s primary role will be required to assemble items and accessories that involve a combination of leather, fleece, and other fabrics. This person will also be asked on occasion to help with the cutting and preparation of raw materials (leather, fabrics, foam to name a few) in addition to sewing duties.
Suggested Work Experience & Candidate Attributes:
- Documented experience working with sewing machines and the construction of consumer goods, preferably leather goods
- Works well when collaborating with others & can easily follow instructions
- On-time and pays high attention to detail, particularly when constructing garments
- Keeps workspace neat
Pay Range/Job Type:
- $15 - $20/hour plus incentives (bonus pay based on piece count, performance, etc.)
- Looking for full-time OR part-time candidates (schedule can be flexible based on demand)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
