ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure a highly efficient security program, with emphasis on awareness, discipline, and compliance of Policies and Rules.

· Coordinate the hiring and training of new Officers, and ensure they are ready to assume unsupervised security duties.

· Assure that officers are receiving appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills, including performance management, coaching, counseling, recognition, etc.

· Reconcile security logs against shift responsibilities and patrols, review incident reports and correct as needed prior to submitting to management.

· Provide other reports as directed by management.

· Perform off-hours visits.

· Maintain inventory and supplies.

· Participate in Safety and Security Committee meetings.

· Coordination, implementation, and enforcement of Resort Rules and Regulations.

· Keep Department in compliance with any Local/State/Federal Regulations

· Perform other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

· Must have security supervisory background of at least two years.

· A demonstrated ability to effectively lead, motivate, discipline and evaluate staff members is essential to the successful performance of duties associated with these positions.

· The ability to consistently maintain poise and professionalism in an extraordinarily fast-paced workplace environment is also critical.

Education and/or Experience

· High school diploma, or equivalent. Basic business office training and skills

· Computer and Microsoft Office Literate (experience in Dwelling Live Software is a plus).

· Enforce the rules while allowing for flexibility and understanding of unique situations.

· Attention to detail

· Demonstrate team behavior and willing to promote a team-oriented environment

· Ability to speak in a clear and understandable voice so that communication may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities.

· Mentally alert and detail oriented with good reasoning skills.

· Possess strong written and verbal skills.

· Ability to work extended hours, days, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

· May be required to participate in more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays. Ability to remain focused and work effectively, and positively under such circumstances.

Safety

· Incumbent is required to comply with established safe work practices and attend all safety-related training provided or made available by the Resort.

Required Technical/Other Skills/Licenses

· Proficiency in MS Office, Dwelling Live software or other Hospitality software

· Possess a valid California Security Guard Card and keep it current.

· Possess CPR, AED and First Aid certification and keep it current.

Other Requirements

· This position will be performed both indoors and outdoors. Indoors - lighting will be varied. Outside - subject to the elements of wind, rain, cold, wet and extreme heat.

· Ability to work constructively and cheerfully in an environment that may be stressful due to adversarial situations.

· Remain alert and aware, for safety reasons, to the function being performed at the workplace.

· Ability to adapt to the outside conditions of wind, cold, and extreme heat when going to and from facilities, errands and other duties that may require attention.

· Be able to lift to 40 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $4,200.00 - $6,200.00 per month
