Job Title: Security Officer - Unarmed
Summary of Responsibilities:

- Provides a visible deterrence to crime by monitoring for prohibited and suspicious activities
- Responds quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations
- Interior and/or exterior patrolling
- Notifies staff and/or additional security as needed when additional assistance is required
- May be required to physically intervene during a crisis, including physically restraining people who may be physically larger and heavier. Every effort should be made not to inflict injury
- Escorting persons and assisting client personnel
- Communicate effectively with diverse people including clients or their representatives, client employees, visitors, or client vendors
- Writes accurate, clear, and legible reports
- Maintains functional knowledge of facility or facilities
- Performs other duties as assigned by security leader or other leadership personnel
Qualifications:
- Highschool diplomat or G.E.D
- Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable jurisdictional security license(s) or certifications and/or client/contract specific licenses or certifications
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English language proficiently
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, or other job-related software
- Previous experience working with the public in a service setting is preferred
Working Conditions:
- Long periods of walking, standing, bending, and stooping
- Must always be alert and observant
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 80lbs
