Job Summary
Perform Carillon Miami Wellness Resort security duties and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, residents, employees and the property as well as the property assets.
Essential Job Functions
- Assumes Duties of the Security Manager in his/her absence
- Ensure all safety and security personnel perform their duties following Carillon policies and procedures, and as instructed by the Director of Security and Security Manager.
- Develops and administer the work schedule for the security staff.
- Conducts and oversees training of all new security officers as well as ongoing training requirements for current security officers.
- Oversees the Security Key Control program.
- Arranges for and conducts safety training as required for Carillon Miami Wellness Resort.
- Review’s security and safety reports for completeness and accuracy; distributes reports to other departments as required.
- Prepares reports for the Security Manager.
- Assist in completing of payroll documentation.
- Investigate security and safety incidents to incidents, to include guest and employee interviews as necessary, document and findings.
- Discipline Security staff when necessary.
- Ensures cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area.
- Ensure property patrols are conducted as required.
- Assist Carillon management when required.
- Maintains accurate records and order necessary materials.
- Reports and document any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years security and safety experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in a Hotel / Resort environment.- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of Carillon Miami staff, vendors, guests, residents and government agencies.
- Excellent customer service and positive interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Good judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality are critical.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to grasp, list and /or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 200 lbs and sufficient manual dexterity in hands.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and be able to prevent and/or handle emergency situations.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule AM Shift, PM Shift, Holidays and weekends.
Certifications / Licenses Required
CPR / First Aid certification- Class D Security License
