Position: - Senior Accountant
Reports to: Assistant VP of Finance
Description:
Assist the department providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all Company activities that will assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the Company's future.
Ability to:
- Assist in the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements including, but not limited to, preparation of journal entries and supporting schedule, identifying explaining and/or correcting variances in actual charges as compared to what was budgeted to occur.
- Review and/or Prepare items relating to cash activities to include the audit of daily deposits by location and department.
- Review and/or Prepare account reconciliations to ensure that account balances and related transactions have been accounted for correctly. Prepare and enter journal entries as needed.
- Preparation of schedules and analysis to assist related parties, as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of schedules and information to assure corporate tax compliance and accurate, timely completion of all corporate returns and filings.
- Prepare required analysis and schedules, as requested, for grant submissions.
- Assist as needed with all audits, such as the annual financial audit, annual benefit audit, workers compensation audit and any other audits as they arise.
- Assist in backing up other areas of the accounting department, such as Accounts Payable and Payroll as the need arises.
- Provide accurate and timely work to facilitate the needs of the company and related parties.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Healthcare accounting experience preferred;
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains preferred.
