Job description
The Chief Data Office pays a key role in driving this transformation by partnering with business stakeholders and technology to define and implement data strategy. We are looking for individuals who possess a combination of business knowledge, technical skills, and people skills to drive change.
The Investment Data team is a new and growing part of the Chief Data Office and is responsible for managing data assets related to the analysis and execution of investment opportunities.
As a member of the Global Investment Data Team, you will be on the front lines of this transformation. You will partner closely with portfolio managers, traders, research analysts, data scientists, and other investment professionals to build market leading data management capabilities that will allow us to outperform our competitors and deliver better client outcomes.
The Data Discovery & Accessibility program is a key pillar of our Data Transformation agenda. As the lead Data Analyst you will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to establish an industry leading data environment where data is accessible, accurate, and fit for investment purpose to increase our competitive advantage.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Data Explorer, a new platform to help the Asset & Wealth Management community discover, access, and harness the potential of our strategic data assets
- Curate and govern domain data models and other meta-data used to support Data Literacy, Discovery, and Accessibility
- Partner with data domain experts to create visually compelling presentations and interactive materials to facilitate decision making and insights
- Create training materials, host product demonstrations, and collate user feedback for Data Discovery & Accessibility solutions
- Partner with Technology and the Data Architecture team on design of data models and strategic data interfaces
- Partner with business stakeholders and technology to support and accelerate delivery of advanced data analysis capabilities
Key Competencies
- Results-oriented, with a willingness to commit to delivery and take charge
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is critical, preferably with a proven track record of coordinating across multiple stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to distil complex challenges to easy to implement solutions
- Existing experience building innovative data analysis solutions using Python, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
- Structured approach to project management, with a robust approach to identifying risks, issues and dependencies
