We are looking to add a qualified, organized, and professional Lead Low-Voltage & Audio Video Installation Technician with 3-5 years of experience to our ranks and would love to have you on our team! Ideal candidate is a skilled entry-level to mid-level Technician. Has aptitude and experience with specific brands/products (listed below) and looking to further grow their skill set. The ideal candidate has experience with control systems, lighting control, shading, and various aspects of low-voltage integration. We offer great perks to those that join our team.

Annual Salary: $70-$85k Per Year (Starting & Based on Experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES AS LEAD TECHNICIAN:
● Accountable for the accuracy, performance and success for all technical installations for assigned projects
● Lead and manage Field Technicians and Apprentice Technicians including:
○ Mentoring/coaching and providing technical guidance to all Field Technicians and helpers
○ Act as a site supervisor duties to help manage the jobsite and assigned resources while PM is offsite
○ Responsible for upholding ICAV’s installation standards
○ Maintaining punch list and sharing information with the Project Manager (PM) daily
○ Make the Director of Operations aware of any deficiencies or training that is required
● Act as an Assistant PM to keep the job moving in all aspects when required
● Where necessary train field technicians using ICAV training standards
● Participate in development of ICAV installation standards and procedures
● Provide consistent technical oversight and guidance to all field technicians
● Ensure that all Installation work completed meets ICAV’s standards
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Configure, install, setup and troubleshoot audio, video, wired/wireless networks, motorized shades, lighting and control systems as specified in client proposals
● Load/test Savant, Control4 programs and debug systems through completion of installation
● Main point of contact for PM’s while onsite
● Communicate and collaborate with GC, Electricians and other trades to ensure the smooth continuation of all ICAV installation work
● Work alongside the Project Manager to help manage the difficulties/complexities that are being experienced throughout the project
● Clearly understands/manages and delegates workload priority to other technicians and provides guidance to problem solve when required
● Personally handle the more complex project tasks with assistance as needed
● Regularly inspect install work performed by other members of the team
● With collaboration of PM, develop and maintain priority of installation tasks
● Estimate and ensure that the tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner
● Ensure that project challenges/successes are clearly communicated to the Project Manager
● Address Installation issues directly with the Project Manager immediately
● Address installation issues which involve production with the Project Manager
● Ensure project documentation is always updated with most current changes. The Education and enforcement process is followed by other team members during an install
● Ensure that documents is complete when returning the products back to the warehouse
● Discuss any installation inefficiencies or suggested improvements with the Director of Operations
POSITION METRICS:
Completed installations meet ICAV’s standard including:
● Systems are installed correctly (system is fully functional, debugged, neat and punch list completed)
● Understand all aspects of low voltage wiring (UTP/Fiber Optic/Coax/Speaker) including:
○ Rough-in, tone outs, trim, termination, testing and troubleshooting
● Verify systems are correctly configured for remote support
○ Configure and set up systems for remote management
● Project installations meet the timeline provided by the Project Manager
● Ensure that all updates to project documentation are relayed to the Project Team via Slack/MS Teams
● Project labor hours are within budget
● ICAV provided tools/products are safely stored and returned to the warehouse once no longer needed
● Work environment is always kept clean
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independent and Consistent Ability to perform the following:
● Assist with training and mentoring Installations Technicians
● Provide feedback on technicians to Project Manager when needed
● Maintain professional, positive behavior on jobsite, on Slack and with employees
● Prioritize and complete assigned work orders accurately and daily
● Must maintain a safe and clean work environments at all times
● Must have completed OSHA 30 certification

Additional information:
Primary Location: 42-71 Hunter St. Long Island City, NY 11101
Working Days: Mon-Fri
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM includes 1 Hour Lunch
Schedule: Full-time
Vacation: 10 Days/year. 15 Days/year after 5 years of tenure. 20 Days/year after 10 years of tenure.
Sick Days: 5 Days/year
Personal Days: 3 Days/year + paid birthday
Retirement Benefits: SIMPLE IRA Plan. ICAV will contribute 2% of your salary to your account. You may also make personalpre-tax contributions per the stipulations of the plan.
Medical Insurance: Available after 90 days of employment, ICAV will pay half of a Single Plan Rate (No Dental or Vision)
