Overview:
The Senior Benefits Analyst role is crucial to the employee experience at MasTec Power Delivery. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of certain Health and Welfare programs including providing consultative guidance. Supports the annual benefit enrollment process including the development of employee communication strategies and planning. Works closely with Corporate Benefits to perform certain reconciliations for a wide array of benefits offerings that are managed by Corporate benefits. Supports certain Union benefit programs.
Responsibilities:
  • Administers the wellness program and activities designed to improve employee health and wellbeing. Recommends changes to the wellness program or additions that reflect the changing needs of employees.
  • Creates employee wellness program communication that encourages participation in wellness activities and health screenings. Works closely with the vendor optimizing financial investments.
  • Supports of one or more HR technologies including Payroll, Benefits Administration, Human Capital Management systems and/or other HR systems.
  • Lead and handle a variety of annual projects including, but not limited to, ACA statements and filings, 5500 filings, and non-discrimination testing, summary annual reports, summaries of material modification, summary plan descriptions.
  • Maintains employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential.
  • Provides administrative support for LINECO (Line Construction Benefits Fund) contributions, reconciliations, and other needs.
  • Responsible for reviewing and analyzing benefit plans and policies.
  • Ability to pull and provide knowledgeable interpretation of financial data and enrollment information.
  • Conduct ongoing data audits for benefit enrollment administration and other matters.
  • Work with benefits outsourced vendors on a continuous basis
  • Ability to review and triage escalated participant issues, eligibility reporting,
  • Contacting and communicating with benefits vendors
  • Manage vendor payments where necessary
  • Conduct ongoing data audits for benefit enrollment administration
  • Handle day to day vendor interactions; work collaboratively to resolve issues while calling out complex or particularly critical issues to the next higher level.
  • Supports of one or more HR technologies including Payroll, Benefits Administration, Human Capital Management systems and/or other HR systems, with an emphasis in Benefits Administration
  • Develop and contribute content for employee benefits communications to include Power Delivery intranet sites
  • May support merger and acquisition and integration projects
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Benefits, other or equivalent work experience
  • Must have strong technical skills, including advanced MS Excel, and proficient in Word, PowerPoint and HRIS
  • Minimum 5 years of Corporate Benefits experience with an emphasis on H&W plans
  • Experience with union benefit plans
  • Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions a plus
  • Experience and understanding of applicable federal and local regulations pertaining to benefits (ERISA, PPACA, etc.)
  • Experience working in UKG a plus.
