The Senior Buyer obtains the best quality, value and service for product and services through supplier management. Success in the role includes proactive approach to daily work along with strong communication and organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish purchasing automation with blanket purchase orders Manage purchase order actions (reschedules / cancels / expedites / confirmations / supplier exceptions / closing short shipments)
• Manage quarantine items and returns to suppliers (supplier quality, ensuring credits are received, react to receiving issues & discrepancies, disposition NCRs) ECO material impact analysis & disposition
• Maintain and setup parts in ERP system (Lead Times, Price, MOQ, Supplier)
• Create Material Purchase Authorizations for customers with activities around pricing, NCNR and pipeline liability maintenance
• Cost reduction and supplier negotiations for items not owned by commodity management
• Quoting and sourcing of material

REQUIRMENTS

• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience within the manufacturing industry
• ERP system experience within a Supply Chain environment including purchasing and inventory
• Post-secondary education in Operations, Inventory or Purchasing Management or equivalent experience required
• Certification or enrollment in APICs or PMAC is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
