Job Description Summary:

This position is primarily responsible to assist the Ethics and Compliance Program in satisfying the seven essential elements of an effective compliance program to include: (1) assisting the compliance officer, compliance committee, compliance directors, and/or compliance managers as needed; (2) developing, reviewing, and/or revising compliance policies and procedures, including standards of conduct; (3) assisting with the development and maintenance of open lines of communication; (4) developing, delivering and/or managing the delivery of appropriate specialized/general compliance training and education; (5) responding to detected offenses; (6) managing internal monitoring and auditing activities; and (7) assisting with the enforcement of disciplinary standards.

Bachelor's Degree (Required)AHIMA - American Health Information Management Association - American Health Information Management Association, CCSP - Cisco Certified Security Professional - CISCO - Computer Information System Company, CPC - CPC Certified Professional Coder - AAPC American Academy of Professional Coders, RHIA - Registered Health Information Administrator - American Health Information Management Association, RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician - American Health Information Management Association

Bachelor's Degree
RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician AHIMA - AHIMA CCSP - CCSP CPC - CPC RHIA - Registered Health Information Administrator

Years of experience: 7 to 10

Degree with five years of direct and/or related Experience . Substitutions may be made on a case-by-case basis. One or more of the following Certified Professional Coder (CPC) by the American Academy of Professional Coders Certified Coding Specialist-Physician Based (CCS-P) by the American Health Information Management Association Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) by the Health Care Compliance Association. Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) by the Health Care Compliance Association. Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC) by the Health Care Compliance Association. Certified in Healthcare Compliance-Fellow (CHC-F) by the Health Care Compliance Association. Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) by the American Academy of Professional Coders Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by the American Health Information Management Association Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) by the American Health Information Management Association Business Writing; Editing; Publishing; Drafting Memos, Policies and Procedures, Articles, and/or White Papers; Compliance Programs; CPT; ICD-10; Conducting Investigations; Auditing; HIPAA Privacy; and/or Joint Venture Operations. Minimum of five Years of Experience in relevant fields such as Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, Training and Education, Communications, Internal Audit, Joint Commission, Clinical Quality and Patient Safety, and/or Health Information Management. Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) by the Health Care Compliance Association. If candidate does not have the CHC credential, must be willing to learn and earn the credential within twelve months from date of hire.
