T-Rex is seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage deployment of healthcare management technology to military treatment facilities (MTF) and installations around the world in support of our Defense Health Agency (DHA) customer. The candidate will work closely with staff at site, senior T-Rex Technical Leads, DHMS leaders/staff and DHMS vendors to plan and execute technology deployments and address readiness and execution issues.

The PEO Defense Healthcare Management System (DHMS) is transforming the delivery of health care and advance data sharing through a modernized electronic health record for service members, veterans and their families. The Workforce 3.0 program within DHMS is a managed solution that leverages innovative new processes, methods, and best-in-class methodologies from the private sector to enable the entire PEO DHMS workforce to deliver world-class technology. The DHMS systems provide important health IT capabilities to 9.6 million active duty military, their families, and their beneficiaries. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for and facilitate key weekly touch points to inform stakeholders, including senior leadership, on key updates, successes, and blockers
  • Track and report on progress, activities, risks and blockers, etc., providing input to reports and meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Coordinate processes for CDRLs Management, data calls, and Taskers, e.g. tracking requests and requirements, collecting comments, and verifying completion
  • Create and maintain project management plans
  • Create and present project status, issues, or decision briefs to senior program leadership, either through ad-hoc or existing meetings such as the DHMSM All Hands, Program Control integrated product team (IPT), DHMSM EHR solution vendor Deployment Sync, and Senior Stakeholder Group (SSG)
  • Identify potential project cost, schedules, and performance risks or issues, and creation/management of mitigation plans on a bi-weekly basis
  • Document weekly project meeting agendas, minutes, and action items
  • Support Special and Strategic Assignments
  • Develop and maintain communications processes for use during Go- Live/Command Center, to include Command Center Support preparation meetings
  • Support DHMSM Go-Live activities, to include identifying tip sheets, flashes, user manuals, etc. to support end users with key information based on reported needs
  • Attend daily enterprise-level Go-Live meetings, identify gaps, and synchronize with key stakeholders.
  • Provide daily support for Go-Live Command Center activities, Address insights, challenges, and recommendations daily with government leadership to include assisting end users with questions, ticket submission process, prepare daily Executive Summaries for leadership, and coordinate application of lessons learned to future deployments
  • Collect, store, and organize all records and documents related to MHS GENESIS deployment activities and processes
  • Support the RIO process, running the Risk Board, and coordinates the collection and sharing of Lessons Learned;
  • Support risk-focused meetings at the program or functional team level as required
  • Support Integrated Baseline Review/Integrated Program Management activities, financial performance reporting, earned value management processes
  • Schedule Management (IMS, TADs), Phase Gate Analysis: Operate schedule management system, maintain master schedule, tracking progress, project at risk

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience developing detailed schedules and tracking and reporting status
  • Experience developing, managing, and executing deployment plans for technology in concert with complex set of stakeholders.
  • Experience identifying and addressing non-conformance issues
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or another similar discipline
  • Experience with Risk and Earned Value Management
  • Experience developing or delivering technical scope of work
  • Experience in the health IT industry and with medical devices
  • Experience at the Defense Health Agency

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $116,000 - $159,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
