ENSCO Mission Systems Group (MSG) is seeking a Senior Software Developer who provides expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems. Uses expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software. Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases. Reviews and evaluates systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety. Confirms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation. May perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers / analyst working on a specific project. Location of work is in Huntsville, AL.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Research, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
Qualifications Required (Skills)

• Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Software Development experience 5+ years
• 2+ years’ experience using MBSE tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, No Magic Cameo EA, etc.
• Knowledge using modeling languages such as SysML and UML
• Experience developing software in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Ada
• AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
• Telework – with approval from COR

Qualifications Desired

• Experience developing real-time, safety-critical software or integrating software onto real-time operating systems is desired
• Experience with Open Systems Architecture desired
• Knowledge of DO-178 software requirements desired.
