Senior Software Systems Engineer

Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, a rapidly growing small company in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking a Senior Software Systems Engineer with Spacecraft Systems Experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying and validating spacecraft software systems. You will work closely with a team of engineers to develop and execute software test plans and procedures, analyze test results, and ensure that software systems meet program requirements and industry standards.

As a Software Verification Engineer, you will have a deep understanding of spacecraft systems and software development. You will use your expertise to develop test strategies and test cases that address software system requirements and constraints.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop and execute software test plans and procedures for spacecraft systems.
• Analyze test results and provide feedback to software development teams.
• Verify and validate software systems to ensure they meet program requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure that software systems are designed and tested to meet requirements.
• Participate in the development of new spacecraft system requirements.
• Conduct system-level testing to verify software system performance.
• Develop and maintain software verification and validation documentation.
• Keep up to date with the latest spacecraft technologies and trends..

Requirements and Qualifications:

• US Citizenship required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software verification and validation for spacecraft systems.
• Experience with software testing methodologies and test equipment.
• Strong understanding of spacecraft systems and software development.
• Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems, such as power, thermal, and communications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
