Local CPA Firm, with offices overlooking the ocean in La Jolla Village, has an immediate permanent opening for a tax senior. We have been in practice for over 30 years and serve individual and business clients. We are at capacity and growing.

If you are tired of working 2,500+ hours a year and are seeking a work/life balance, this is an ideal job for you. While the position is full-time, we work less than 2,000 hours a year by successfully managing busy season workloads through active engagement with our clients. This results in a less stressful work environment and provides flexibility in the off-season with very relaxed summers....' we work to live, not live to work.' Tax season is the only time in the year when long hours are expected at this firm; there is no second busy season.

We are looking for a licensed CPA with 3-6+ years of individual tax compliance experience to join our team. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset and is interested in a long-term opportunity.

Primary duties will include:

• Individual tax return review
• Staff management/development
• Return preparation duties
• Individual tax planning
• General accounting work

Our individual tax compliance practice consists of mid-to-high net worth clients and our business practice services a broad variety of industries. The position will expand in the off-season to include business, fiduciary and estate tax return work. Individual tax compliance will constitute the majority of work performed and candidates should have a working familiarity with tax software (knowledge of Lacerte is an advantage).

Compensation will depend upon the candidate’s experience, with total compensation starting at $85,000. Increases in compensation will be recognized as growth in abilities and value to the firm occur.
