Bear Valley Community Healthcare District (BVCHD) in beautiful Big Bear Lake is looking for an Radiology Tech II. BVCHD is a small critical access hospital located in the Southern California mountains of San Bernardino.

TITLE: Radiology Tech II-CT

STATUS: Full Time

SALARY RANGE: $35.95- - $50.85 Tech II

HOURS: 12Hour Shift (plus call)

Under the direct supervision of the Chief Technologist/Radiology manager. Independently operates CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce images of structures in the human body that are utilized by physicians for the diagnosis of diseases, pathology and/or trauma. Utilizes technical judgment and skills to ensure that produced images are of the highest diagnostic quality and demonstrate the area(s) of interest.

Coordinates patient schedules and performs related clerical duties as needed. Prepares procedures for interpretation by obtaining correct patient histories and processing the images.

• Demonstrates effective communication skills. Demonstrates professional behavior in all interactions with patients and staff.
• Ability to understand and utilize the Digital Image Storage device for image acquisition retrieval and storage of exams.
• Ability to maneuver portable X-ray equipment throughout the facility. Assumes the responsibility for proper patient positioning for every X-ray procedure.

Available for rotating schedule days, nights weekends and On-call shifts. Is responsible to take on call duty.

Qualifications

• Must have three (3) years of recent Radiologic technology experience, including one (1) year of recent experience in whole body computerized tomography.
• Possesses and maintain current California (CRT) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
• Fluoroscopy permit issued by the State of California Department of Public Health.
• American Heart Association approved BLS
