Job description

To deliver excellent service and repairs for Outdoor Payment Terminal (OPT) customers and service partners. Ensure that Service Strategy is planned, developed and executed that will deliver a consistent, efficient and quality service experience for all customers and partners.

Key outcomes include:

  • Provide excellent service for customers, ensuring that all SLAs are met, ensuring quality and timely servicing of parts
  • Develop and maintain accurate and reliable documents (e.g. training manuals) systems and processes
  • Ensure stakeholders (internal and external) receive relevant training that is communicated succinctly with accurate information
  • All service data is captured in Gilbarco’s’s service database enabling accurate billing and root cause analysis
  • Ensure feedback of fault trends is communicated back to relevant departments e.g. Technical Operations Manager, Quality, Engineering, Product Management to enable long term solutions to recurring problems to be sourced
  • Provide leadership for the Roswell -Atlanta area facility.
  • Responsible for the performance of Gilbarco's service operation.
  • Establish best in class processes, facilities and training for global service. Achieve SLAs and financial performance
  • Commercial leadership establishing continuous improvement to drive performance, cost reductions and process improvements
  • Ensure support and processes in place to maintain and improve the business
  • Promote technical initiatives to determine root causes and remedy of mechanical/electrical/Firmware defects down to component level
  • Provide leadership for the Roswell -Atlanta area facility.

Essential:

  • Strong commercial acumen and proven experience leading a Service Centre. At least 10years’ experience leading a Service team or similar business. P experience of forecasting service centre costs.
  • Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Comfortable and able to step up and operate at a strategic level while still getting involved in the daily operations
  • Understanding of the engineering product lifecycle
  • Ability to make sound decisions in an ever changing / fast paced environment
  • Proven experience maintaining industrial products with a high need for reliability
  • Very good organizational, time management and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – can communicate at all levels from Management, R&D, designers to technicians and to external parties
  • No restrictions on travel – approx 5%
  • Flexibility in hours as some meetings may be outside standard hours given the global nature of the engineering organization and US time zones

Desirable:

  • Experience setting up Service Centers or managing a business or cost center
  • Experience enabling 3rd party service centers
  • Excellent analytical skills in Excel
