Job Description

We are currently looking for an individual willing to work within an established team that possesses an exceptional customer service attitude and attention to detail. With Basic computer skills and willingness to learn, to fill weekend sexton position at a prominent Church facility in the West Nashville area (Belle Meade).


Work Schedule:
  • Saturdays: 8:00 am till 3:00 pm
  • Sundays: 6:00 am till 3:00pm

(opportunity to work more hours)


Compensation:

  • $18 per hour


Job responsibilities:

Weekend Sexton duties includes to support the detailed setup and teardown schedules of a busy church, including help for presentations as needed/trained, light maintenance and cleaning.

  • Event setup/teardowns of tables and chairs (multiple times during the weekend)
  • Monitoring events and clean up after (may include set up coffee and water stations for varies church services)
  • Assisting setting up the projector, microphones for meetings/events if needed
  • Light cleaning and disinfection duties (church sanctuary and gathering areas), restock restroom supplies, monitor parking lot trash pick up if required
  • Light maintenance duties may involve (light bulbs changes, filters changes, and routine inspections)
  • Greeting and interact with parishioners, visitors and church staff
  • Complete work orders and timesheet in a web base management program

Work Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work weekends hours
  • Ability to learn audio/visual systems used in presentations by clergy to support as needed
  • Shows proficient English Language communications skills (writing and speaking)
  • Ability to lifting and pushing up to 75 lbs frequently
  • Ability to comply with physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Must pass the TBI criminal background check required to work in educational facilities with children present and E-Verify check
  • Must have a valid driver's license (reliable transportation)
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors
