POSITION OVERVIEW: Will support Nelson Global Products, Inc. by supervising and managing the activities and systems of the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable functions remotely and Cash Posting functions on-site.

POSITION OVERVIEW: Will support Nelson Global Products, Inc. by supervising and managing the activities and systems of the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable functions remotely and Cash Posting functions on-site.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Supervise and manage the activities of the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Cash Postings groups.
- Drive problem resolution using lean concepts of root cause analysis for Payables and Receivables.
- Streamline freight invoice processing and monthly accrual.
- Approve electronic cash disbursements via bank portal.
- Provide oversight and support regarding collection issues, verifying customer refunds, researching, and resolving account discrepancies and short payments.
- Accountable for reducing past due customer account status and improving the cash cycle for Accounts Receivable.
- Review the short pay accrual, analyze the impact, and make recommendations.
- Hire, train and manage the accounting staff.
- Manager Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes in ERP systems for all US locations.
- Integral team member in facilitating an accurate and timely completion of month end reporting.
- Research, recommend and assist in the implementation of process improvements for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and be alert to how process changes impact internal controls.
- Completes financial analysis, data flow analysis and project management for the Company.
- Other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting and/or Finance functions.
- Experience in Manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Knowledge of Financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Infor-LN, Epicor)
- Leadership skills – good judgment and decision making, motivated, management skills.
- Solid working knowledge of electronic payment and remittance systems
- Continuous Improvement minded.
- Work with various plant locations to resolve discrepancies.
- Able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Accurate and detail oriented
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills
