Salary: $24.25; hourly, non-exempt

Shift: Wed-Sat 7am-12pm (Part-Time)

Location: Barbur

Reports To: Program Manager, Team Lead Supervisor


About Do Good Multnomah: Do Good Multnomah is a non-profit organization that partners with the community to provide supportive housing and low-barrier emergency shelter to houseless veterans in Portland, Oregon. We emphasize relationship-building, one-on-one engagement, supportive services, and direct community participation, changing the way we serve houseless veterans. What you’ll do:

  • Ensure that all areas utilized by shelter participants and staff are clean, organized, and left in an orderly manner during and after each shift. This may include, but not limited to, cleaning waste, soiled clothing, dirty dishes, mopping, collecting trash, etc.
  • Process resident/client intakes and discharges with completion of associated forms.
  • Maintain effective communication with all staff, programs, and community partners.
  • Maintain safe environment for shelter staff and participants
  • Attend supervision, staff meetings & any appropriate community professional meetings.
  • Attend supervision, staff supervisions, staff meetings & any appropriate community professional meetings.
  • Engage with individuals who are experiencing houselessness.
  • Assist in delivery of hygiene kits and essential supplies to participants
  • Participate in compliance, quality assurance and quality improvement activities as directed.
  • Adhere to all state and federal privacy and security regulations applicable to the program, and to Do Good Multnomah’s policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security.
  • Assist with participant advocacy.
  • Engage with community partners in a respectful manner.
  • Assist in management of food box program.
  • Participate in compliance, quality assurance and quality improvement activities as directed.
  • Participate in shelter duties to maintain a clean, safe environment for staff and participants.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
