Site Maintenance Manager
Working 12-hour shifts in rotation

What you get to doYou will provide leadership to a team of Maintenance Shift Engineering Managers in a 24/7 shift operation, through direct reports for the development, implementation, and day-to-day leadership of professional maintenance programs, processes, people, and documentation associated with efficient and high-performing automated storage and retrieval systems, and storage and picking systems installed at our customers’ locations and surrounding area. You will build and maintain customer relationships at our customer sites, understanding and leading our preventive and predictive maintenance programs, using standard operating procedures, safety policies, while identifying the appropriate time to escalate issues following procedures, the appropriate response level, and providing frontline leadership for this process.
Functions and Responsibilities· Provide complete Customer satisfaction while enhancing the reputation of Knapp· Managing on-site maintenance teams that deal with electro-mechanical faults and preventative maintenance operations on automated material handling equipment in a warehouse environment· Be eager and determined to succeed, though safety conscious in all activities undertaken, and own problems seeing them through to successful completion· Maintain a reputation for rapid and effective support· Help manage site budgets and associated commercial activities· Match tasks with team skill sets to ensure delivery of defined service level agreement· Manage on-site all system improvements and installations · Develop on-site staff and resources, all training requirements, and team development· Increase the efficiency of Knapp’s support solutions while working in tight timeframes · Help with monthly reports covering commercial and technical activities· Improve the service level and optimize resource utilization through best practices· Help plan and implement system security policy· Resolve any resourcing issues beyond the control of the Shift Engineering Managers· Ensures that the maintenance team maintains an excellent level of customer satisfaction while providing acceptable level of commercial return· Help develop and manage maintenance budgets and cost projections· Help manage the supply chain to ensure the alignment of sub-suppliers· Advise in the management of maintenance interfaces with Knapp’s nominated suppliers and sub-suppliers· Monitor and update the MHE risk register· Assess and resolve the supplier's resource requirements· Maintenance of the MHE PPM work schedules· Assist in the identification and monitoring of the MHE Maintenance Team’s interfaces· Liaise with the Customer’s Operations Shift Managers & the supplier's First Line Managers to ensure the safe and efficient management of the MHE scope of work· Assess and report MHE progress and attendance at meetings, assist with quality assurance position and health, safety, and environment adviser in verifying adherence to all relevant standards and procedures· Approve revised MHE documents, drawings, and correspondence prior to issue· Management of the MHE and the Maintenance Cost Plan· Monitor the progress of associated sub-suppliers· Ensure the timely supply of MHE maintenance hardware· Continuation of the MHE Health and Safety File· Management and allocation of all spares inventory· Manage the site escalation and grievance procedures related to the MHE· Participate in work-related performance improvement programs· May be required to respond to emergency calls, and other duties as required
Who you are· Have a Degree in Business Management, Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience· 5-10 years of verifiable, progressive experience as a Maintenance Repairman, Maintenance Electrician, Machine Repairman, or Industrial Maintenance Engineer that led to Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager· Leadership experience for repairs on various types of machinery systems, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.· Bilingual (English/Spanish) and or (English/German) preferred, but not required
Conditions and Environment· Authorization to work in the U.S is required· Passport or ability to obtain a passport· Occasional travel may be required· Weekends and overtime as needed· Professional office etiquette
