Job description
This position will report directly to the Vice President of Operations for North America. The Site Planning Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with the deadlines of program activities conducted at headquarters. This position must ensure that there are programming activities aligned with the L2 program plan and ensure their compliance. The Site Planning Manager will have a highly honed analytical skillset in financial and/or supply chain management and experience working as a full lifecycle project manager. This position will require some travel.
Responsibilities:
Know the capacities and limitations of each of the areas and ships / lines of its site.
Performs load / capacity analysis of the different areas of the site (Painting, Electrical Workshop, Structures, Finishing, Testing) based on the site Load / Capacity Analysis carried out by Vehicle Planning.
Actively participate in resource consolidation forums with transportation planning.
Review / Audit of the cost incurred vs. target cost to help identify possible deviations. Know the distribution between the internal cost forecast (internal labor) and external (subcontract).
Analyzes monthly the parameters that affect the reduction of the capacity of the resources (Absenteeism, GG).
Implement the strategy and business management plans of all areas applicable in the headquarters, establishing the actions and organizing the necessary resources to guarantee their compliance or improvement; supervise compliance with these strategies and management plans, and report periodically on their evolution in the business.
Keep abreast of company news and other industry practices that influence the daily activities of the function.
Comply with and enforce the current regulations applicable at the headquarters, as well as the responsibilities assigned in the processes in general and in the policies/systems implemented in CAF and in the headquarters where it carries out its activity in terms of product quality and safety, occupational risk prevention and the environment, providing the necessary resources for this.
Guarantee the deployment, implementation and maintenance of business processes at the headquarters, contributing to their adaptation when the specificities of the headquarters require it. Compile and transfer the SWOT vision of said headquarters in relation to its scope of action, for its analysis and subsequent inclusion (if applicable) in the documentation of the process.
Ensure that accurate records are completed and maintained in accordance with established
procedures, and that ongoing work is communicated to stakeholders.
Ensure that, for the duration of the employment relationship, total confidentiality is maintained with respect to the company, its dealings, transactions and any other information related to customers and staff.
Promote the company in the appropriate and available means at its disposal to ensure a positive image before the interested parties.
Demonstrate commitment to the company's values, purposes and objectives, and the implementation of its equal opportunities policy in the workplace.
Carry out training (job-specific, health and safety, environmental) relevant to the position.
Be proactive in their job and identify improved ways to support the company in managing its objectives. Manage good practices from or to the headquarters where you perform your area of activity.
Prepare the necessary evidence and present them in documents to defend audits at headquarters (internal or external).
Comply with the responsibilities assigned to the general processes and systems implemented in CAF and for the business in which its activities related to product quality and safety, occupational risk prevention and the environment are carried out, according to the function it is performing at all times.
Requirements:
Preferable Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
Minimum of five years of experience as a Planner preferably in the Railway sector.
Skilled in Project Management software (MS Project, Primavera).
Organized, proactive and has good interpersonal skills.
Bilingual – English/Spanish would be a plus.
