The Skilled Nursing Dining Supervisor (better known as Food Service Supervisor: ALU/SNF/MCU) is a member of the supervisory team who works directly with staff members in the skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care salellite kitchens and dining rooms. The SNF, ALU, and MCU satellite kitchens distribute three meals a day to 93 residents.

Position Summary

The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising the ALU/SNF food service staff. The responsibilities for this position include assisting with the management of the kitchen and dining rooms and overseeing the service of meals to residents.

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Directly supervises the food service employees working in ALU/MCU/SNF dining rooms. Acts as the Assistant Manager of Food Services (Dining Room) in the absence of the current incumbent or on his/her scheduled days off.
• Assists in the orientation of all new employees which include: on-the-job training, adherence to policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations.
• Assists in ordering supplies, maintaining an appropriate inventory, and ensuring proper storage of foods and kitchen supplies.
• Maintains standards of safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the food services department.
• Schedules wait staff for appropriate coverage. Insures that appropriate levels of coverage are maintained at all times.
• Provides supervision to staff in accordance with the Eskaton Village prime values and established mission statement.

Qualifications

Education

Must possess a High School diploma. Must also have a Food Service Management Degree or Dietary Assistant Level 11 or Technician Certificate preferred.

Job Knowledge

Ability to understand and work harmoniously with residents, staff and healthcare professionals. Ability to maintain high professional and ethical standards. PC knowledge is helpful but not required.
