Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking experienced professionals to support the state of the art 300mm semiconductor manufacturing and development in Malta, New York. The core responsibilities of this team involve ownership of process integration of semiconductor devices; monitoring performance and driving improvements related to technology yield, Cp/Cpk of inline and electrical parameters, defectivity, and more. The team is also responsible for the development of new and emerging technologies through definition/execution of experiments and technical data analysis. The ideal candidate can demonstrate a technical understanding of semiconductor principles and an understanding of a balanced scorecard approach to develop, sustain, and improve semiconductor technologies with quality, cost, and delivery all considered.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create, analyze, and review technical charts

  • Develop and modify process formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality standards

  • Establish SOP (Standard operating process) and FMEA (Failure mode and effects analysis) for related process

  • Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules

  • Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications

  • Drive CIP (continuous improvement plans) to improve process performance indices

  • Work with cross functional teams to deliver organizational goals

  • Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, or related field

  • Experience - Minimum 5 Years in semiconductor manufacturing

  • Skills – Statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), FMEA, Structured Problem Solving (SPS)

  • Travel – Occasional for training for vendor site visits

  • Fluency in English Language – written & verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience – 7 years experience as a CMP process engineer in high volume manufacturing

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter

  • Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies

  • Strong organizational skills along with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business need

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments

  • Individuals will be and must be able to understand complex automated systems and human interactions

  • Statistical Data Analysis program experience and or other programing language experience (such as JMP, SQL, DAX, Python etc.) is preferred

  • Individuals must be willing to work a compressed shift for the first 6 months during training

Expected Salary Range

$98,000.00 - $186,000.00
