Job Posting:
The Children's Community Programs of CT is seeking talented, bilingual MSW, MA/MS in counseling, or MFT clinicians to join the newly funded Center for Refugee and Immigrant Services (CRIS). As part of our newly formed team, you will provide short term therapy, clinical and educational assessment, and placement assistance services to youth being placed with a family sponsor in the USA. All services in the CRIS program are delivered on-site as part of a daily, five day per week, comprehensive program for arriving youth. In addition to providing hands-on, direct services you will be asked to develop programming and design innovative and creative interventions for all youth, and to work closely with your fellow CRIS team members. Community foster homes have been recruited to work exclusively with the CRIS program as an integral part of the team, and provide transitional, temporary housing for each child. During the day, the youth attend the CRIS program while their sponsor family placement is finalized. During their participation in the program, their clinicians work closely with the foster parents, the sponsor family, each CRIS program department, and community medical providers.

A deep commitment and passion for working with newly arrived youth is required, as well as a sensitivity and understanding of their experience. If you have the creativity, flexibility, and innovation to assist in the development of this new program, we would like to meet you.

License eligibility is preferred, and expenses associated with securing licensure are eligible for full reimbursement by CCP.

Requirements:

Must hold a Master’s degree and be licensed /license eligible to provide clinical services in the state of Connecticut in one of the following areas: Psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or counselling.

Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
