Summary of Role:

Raytheon Technologies Enterprise Services is seeking a highly motivated Linux system DevOps Engineer to support Identity Management systems, services, development, and implementation of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) software release processes and tools. These pipelines will be used for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This full-time employee will work with LDAP software and scripts which run on Linux systems. This position will maintain interfaces and feeds to/from the LDAP system. The candidate is expected to become proficient with the Raytheon Technologies LDAP subtree structure, attribute definitions, and LDAP security parameters. Experience working with Linux systems is a requirement.

A combination of having strong technical/product knowledge, relationship-building skills, and customer service skills makes you the ideal candidate for this opportunity. The job will involve following precise processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Raytheon Technologies security policies, government requirements, industry standards, and internal organizational mandates. The candidate will also be given ample opportunity to develop skills working with multiple identity services (LDAP, Active Directory, SecurID, PKI and SSO).

Creating and maintaining scripts

CI/CD process and integration

Kubernetes support

Application support

LDAP software administration

Linux Systems administration

Debugging software and network

Testing scripts and automation

Documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with DevOps CI/CD tools such as GitLab

Knowledge of container tools and technologies and their integration into the CI/CD process

Experience maintaining Python, Perl or Shell scripts

Experience building, installing, and deploying Perl/Python RPMs

Experience with Git or similar version control systems

Experience with log file analysis, including LDAP logs, HTTPD error logs, & Splunk

Strong automated testing experience

Strong software and network debugging skills

Excellent documentation and process management skills

Works well with team members in diverse geographic locations to develop secure solutions for customer requests

Ability to understand and apply security policies and procedures to customer solutions

Self-starter, able to work well with little supervision

Strong communication skills

Experience with Rancher

Experience working with command line interfaces for updates

Defining and implementing test first software development processes and methodologies using best practices

Define and present DevOps and test based metrics used to predict the completeness and quality of software modules

Review software requirements focusing on testability

Support IT with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software tools

Strong knowledge of AWS

Exposure to public cloud infrastructures and build automation tools

Experience with C / C++

Knowledge of UNIX and / or Linux scripting tools

Remote system support, Linux monitoring tools

Interfacing large and diverse hardware and software systems

Background working with Identity Systems

Education:

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience

The salary range for this role is 62,000 USD - 124,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
