The Mail team is seeking an experienced and passionate engineer to find major problems in our software so our customers don't have to. Our team designs and engineers the iOS, macOS, and watchOS Mail application. We need someone who is comfortable working in an exciting environment with rapidly changing priorities and someone inspired to invent new ways to test, to find problems no one else could, and to build amazing products.
Key Qualifications
- 2 or more years experience crafting, maintaining, and driving tests plans at all application layers
- 2 or more years experience with blackbox testing
- Strong experience in using Python, Swift, shell scripting, version control systems, and other related tools /scripting languages
- Experience in testing and automating APIs, UIs and Native Applications
- Proficient with bug tracking software like Bugzilla and Jira
- Adept at debugging, fixing, and critical thinking
- Experience with multi-functional projects
- A great teammate with the ability to act as a mentor and peer leader
Description
Work side-by-side with developers and peers to create and implement test plans for new features prior to their announcement and release Resole reproduction steps, scope, and customer impact of bugs to make it clear how to prioritize bugs Coordinate testing efforts for major new multi-functional features Responsible for advancing critical bugs and working with developers to prioritize fixes Provide feedback on new features prior to integrating them into future releases Ensure Mail provide a superior experience on new hardware prior to its release
Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,000 and $230,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
