Position Description
Identify, develop and manage sources based on cost, quality, delivery, service, and fit with the business philosophy of Endries International. Purchase and maintain inventory levels to insure service levels to customers are consistently met and in line with company inventory and working capital goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
- Obtain timely quotations to complete inquiries for internal Sales contacts for current or new customers, products or business opportunities
- Review buy reports and customer forecasts and take appropriate action with suppliers and/or internal sales contacts
- Purchase order entry and expedite product as needed to meet customer service needs
- Maintains system records to insure accuracy
- Contribute to the continuous improvement objectives of Endries International via sound vendor management techniques (quality/line fill/on-time performance of selected vendors)
- Evaluate sources of supply for the lowest overall supply cost when all requirements are considered
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Endries International including but not limited to ISO procedures including all relevant Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Procedures (SP)
- Exhibit ethical and fair relationships with suppliers at all times (supplier feedback/incidence level)
- Problem solves issues that arise and from other departments such as Quality, Accounting, Sales, Purchasing and Operations (internal customer satisfaction measure)
- Develop, foster and maintains good working relationships with internal team members and external suppliers
- Work with freight providers (international and domestic) to ensure timely and undamaged delivery of inbound product within customer’s delivery requirements and/or confirmed purchase order due dates
Education/Training Required
- Bachelors degree in Business or equivalent industry experience
Experience/Skills Required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet required deadlines
- Time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to negotiate terms and conditions of purchase, price, delivery, services, freight, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Sense of urgency and commitment to internal and external customers
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn ERP system
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 35 pound boxes of fasteners (infrequent)
- Minimal domestic travel

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $50,000-$55,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on applicable experience.
