The Bryan County School System is accepting applications for a Part-time S pecial Education teacher at Frances Meeks Elementary School for the 2023-24 school year . The successful candidate will be serving in inclusion and/or resource settings. The successful candidate must meet certification requirements in the appropriate field(s) of education, as follows:

Special Education – Self-Contained classrooms – must hold certification in Adapted Curriculum Special Education , plus Special Education content concentrations in all 5 content areas.

Special Education – Co-taught classrooms – must hold certification in General Curriculum Special Education , plus Special Education content concentrations in the areas of Reading/ELA and/or Math.

In addition to certification and professionally qualified status, Bryan County is interested in teachers who possess a strong knowledge of research-based and data-driven instructional practices designed to ensure students with disabilities the opportunity to be successful in their educational environment, as well as embracing a philosophy of providing individual interventions in a manner that positively affects individual student growth.
