WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

USA Job Function Description: Ensures adherence to the policies and procedures established by the company. Manages policy, standard definition and monitoring of policy, standard implementation, ensuring harmonization and consistency of risk policies. Monitors and manages risk/exposure and compliance with the company's policies. Identifies, manages and reports on the company's risk areas. Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of data, document retention, and monitors systems.

Essential Functions:

Perform ongoing or periodic monitoring of operational risks within the first line of defense leveraging targeted metrics and other information (e.g. – KRI and RAS metrics, losses, operational risk events, and new, emerging, and existing issues)

Perform Independent review and oversight of procedures, training content, deployment, program integration and policy adherence.

Oversight of adherence of Operational Risk Framework, Methodology and data governance

Execute independent reviews or targeted testing of operational risk within specific business processes or functions to identify opportunities for improvement in the operational risk environment

Contributes to key stakeholder reporting, escalation and communication to Risk Governance Forums

Support the creation, management and development of Operational Risk program strategy, policies and models within the Corporate Banking Business

Help drive culture of risk awareness

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Work Experience: 7-9 years Risk Management/Risk MIS in the Financial Services industry. Indirect Auto Lending experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

Strong technical skills including Sharepoint Development and SQL

Strong operational risk management principles, methodologies and tools, governance principles and activity preferably in a financial services technology environment.
Knowledge of workflow/processes and risks/controls, including: origination, underwriting, servicing, and collections/workout.
Ability to independently operate in a complex, matrixed environment; adept at delivering and maintaining productive working relationships across business, functions, geographies and lines of defense
Advanced operational risk, process, and control validation and/or assessment skills.
Ability to direct, train and guide peers, subordinates and management.
Ability to handle conflict resolution with other groups to ensure appropriate accounting guidance is followed.
Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
