L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Repair Operations Project Manager (OPM) to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility.

Position Overview:

• Oversee all Operations efforts relating to contract execution and is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring repair projects from beginning to end, according to strict deadlines and budgets.
• Act as the point-of-contact between elements of Manufacturing, Procurement, Test, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management.
• Ensure cost and schedule conformance on assigned projects by coordinating the test and evaluation, repair, and test sell off of complex electronic systems.
• Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures Identifies and addresses changes within own job area. Works to achieve operational targets with some impact on departmental results.
• Possesses practical knowledge of and works under moderate supervision to set objectives for their own job area.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate with Area Schedulers and Production Planners to develop repair and maintenance plans
• Perform lead-time and critical path analysis on multi-level hardware builds
• Assess cost and schedule risks and develop associated mitigations
• Estimate sales forecasts for labor and material
• Monitor and report financial, schedule and technical performance of assigned projects
• Identify and coordinate resources necessary for repair efforts
• Oversee repair budgets with the responsibility to analyze, manage and report on budget performance and variance analysis
• Interface and communicate with all levels of the organization

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), particularly Microsoft Excel and demonstrate ability to analyze data using graphs and pivot tables
• Demonstrated ability in financial or data analysis and monitoring is desired
• Demonstrated ability in business and/or technical writing, public speaking, and creating formal presentations
• Experience using schedule management tools such as Microsoft Project is preferred
• Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems is preferred
• Ability to handle stressful situations with maturity, respect, and confidence
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Be a self-starter with a track record of identifying and implementing creative solutions to complex problems
• Demonstrate attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Excels in a team environment with the ability to avoid and resolve conflict
• Interpret basic engineering instructions and drawings
• Understand various manufacturing processes and methods
• This position may require overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work
