The Sr Business Intelligence Analyst will serve AORN's Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) market segments, providing insights and recommendations for business leaders, sales, and marketing teams. This position requires strong business acumen, critical-thinking, and an analytics skillset. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment collaborating with leaders to identify business needs, conduct data analysis, and provide recommendations to drive business value and growth. The Sr Business Intelligence Analyst will support customer and market insights through secondary research, voice of customer initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to discover new ways in which the company can leverage data to expand its market position and grow revenue. Leveraging data analytics, visualization, and modeling techniques, a passion for helping teams tell a more powerful story using data to drive improved decision-making and support organizational growth initiatives is needed for success in the role.


WORK SCHEDULE

AORN is based in Denver, CO. This position has the opportunity to be a remote position.


More about what you’ll get to do as our Sr Business Intelligence Analyst:

  • Lead Analyst for Business-to-Consumer (B2C) and Business-to-Business (B2B) market segments.
  • Serves as an internal consultant to the lines of business and senior level stakeholders on B2B and B2C business insights.
  • Responsible for developing data insights and business recommendations for B2B and B2C segments and product lines. Leverages multiple data sources to provide a complete view of the business and customer.
  • Conducts research on external market, competitive intelligence, and trends to drive data recommendations.
  • Creates Tableau and Salesforce dashboards for standardized, automated reporting of key indicators and trends.
  • Collaborates with enterprise sales and marketing teams to provide reporting on sales, customers, product usage, leads, conversions, and campaign ROI. Provides recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Collaborates on the development of customer profiling and predictive modeling solutions to enhance ROI for segments and business lines. Coordinates inputs from a range of businesses to build the forecasting and predictive analytics function.
  • Collaborates with teams to develop consistent, repeatable methodologies, and processes to forecast product / customer sales, market share, and other KPIs.
  • Enables high quality, objective decisions by identifying and advising on key business challenges for the organization through the development and application of insightful business and competitive analysis.
  • Supports voice of customer and competitive intelligence efforts through primary and secondary research; provides recommendations accordingly.
  • Supports organizational planning with cross-functional teams to interpret market trends and forecasts and facilitates action-planning in the organization; key contributor on special projects for AORN’s strategic plan.
  • Provides analysis and insights to key stakeholders to identify new opportunities and drive decision-making.
  • Supports internal data governance efforts by helping internal teams identify and resolve data anomalies.
  • Other special analytics projects as assigned.

Must Have’s to be our Sr Business Intelligence Analyst:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics or revenue operations.
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience using Tableau and SQL.
  • Experience working with and extracting information from database applications.
  • Experience managing end-to-end analytics projects including working with high level executives and leaders to identify objectives, develop requirements, conduct data analysis, and develop and present recommendations.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Alteryx, Salesforce and/or Google Analytics.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, look-up formulas) and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Thrives on digging into data and understanding the ‘why’ behind key trends. Ability to bring together different types of data (quantitative and qualitative) to tell a ‘story’ and provide recommendations for change.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to connect the dots with data and business opportunities.
  • Strong attention to detail; highly accurate and thorough in all tasks.
  • Aptitude for working with large data sets across multiple systems; able to translate and articulate complex data problems and recommendations to business leaders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with senior level management in formal and informal presentation settings.
  • Ability to influence all levels of the organization using data and insights to drive growth and change.
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of information from financial reports and in-depth market research studies.
  • Broad familiarity with forecasting methodologies and ability to exploit a range of evaluation techniques.
  • Excellent project management skills, with ability to lead and manage complex matrix teams.
  • Proven experience as a collaborative team player.

  • Competitive salary, for this role our salary range is $107,000 - $115,000.
