Valid California Driver’s License or valid California Driver’s Temporary Permit and ability to have a valid California Driver’s License within six (6) months from date of hire.

Customer service experience.

Skills to organize and prioritize workload to complete work effectively.

Verbal and written communication skills to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English

Skills to work collaboratively and independently within a diverse team and fast paced environment

Skills to use computers, access email and other necessary UC programs.

Knowledge of and skills to operate power machines such as floorcare equipment, and trash compactor, and UCDH vehicles.

Skills to use pagers, mobile devices, voceras and other communication devices.

Incumbent must be willing and able to work variable shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and float to other units/areas/buildings/runs.

This position may include tasks in patient care areas where there are patients under isolation precautions.

This position may require staff to clean and handle blood/bodily fluids, hazardous materials and chemical waste.

Uniform and/or protective clothing and/or gear will be provided.

Job training and orientation will be provided.

Position is subject to a Functional Capacity Assessment for new hires, a Criminal Background Investigation, and a Physical Evaluation.

Enroll in the DMV Pull Notice Program.

This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
