The Sr. Lab Technician I - Post Market is responsible for maintaining the Biohazard lab and driving lab continuous improvement projects. They are also responsible for assisting with complaint investigations and driving timely closure of complaints.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain Biohazard Lab. Drive continuous improvement projects
- Managing, processing and closing product complaints utilizing product knowledge and technical expertise. Performs review of complaints, product received for completeness and accuracy
- Serves as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Complaint team interfacing with Failure Analysis organization
- Makes and documents decisions, within established timelines
- Acts as a Quality Control Specialist on complaint closure
- Conduct laboratory investigations required to assess and understand customer complaints, for tracking and closing complaint investigations
- Working with Quality Assurance to properly escalate complaints in the quality management system
Job Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent is required
- 5+ years of related work experience desired
- Broad knowledge of chemistry/biochemistry or other life science; or equivalent industry experience preferred
- Lab Management knowledge preferred
- Must have knowledge of specific laboratory techniques and instruments and must be able to recognize factors that directly affect procedures and results
- Regulated industry experience preferred
- Ability to maintain organized electronic records of equipment
- Able to work on problems requiring the exercise of considerable autonomy, judgment, and expertise.
- Knowledge of lean, six sigma, kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives a plus
- Basic knowledge in machine shop, metrology, and tool usage.
- Prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner with general supervision.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and SAP desired.
