A Control Systems Integration firm in the Richland, WA area needs an experienced PLC Programmer/Automation Controls Engineer for Industrial Manufacturing, Food, Beverage, and Irrigation projects. Small company with family-based culture services clients in the Northwest US - WA, OR, and ID region.

Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of NEC, UL, NFPA, CSA and CE standards to control system panel designs
- Write operating descriptions and related documentation for control and automation portion of systems
- Write PLC and HMI programs for water treatment systems utilizing Rockwell / Allen Bradley and Siemens products
- Configure automation networks, including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, Profinet and Modbus
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing and configuration of control and automation systems
- Field site acceptance testing, may travel to site for system integration
- Troubleshoots equipment operation issues which may be related to electrical design or programming
- Suggest and implement solutions
- Commit to deliverables with customers and/or management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred but not required
- 4+ years experience developing automation projects in the industrial automation industry
- Proficiency with Rockwell products - Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI programming (PlantPAX is a plus)
- Experience in panel design and controls system engineering is strongly preferred, as well as experience in the water or food industry
- Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical is a plus
- Good project skills
- Strong knowledge of operational processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Siemens PLC programming is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $76,900.46 - $129,000.00 per year
