Job description
As the Space Vehicle Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T), you will be using your skills and expertise to lead the spacecraft AI&T team to simulate, test, certify and improve innovative products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated orbital systems. You will also be involved with the execution of assembly, integration, test, and launch support using top industry tools. As a team lead, you'll also be responsible for establishing and managing a growing team of passionate engineers to support the space vehicle AI&T discipline.



Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience
  • Experience with flight hardware in a manufacturing & production environment
  • Experience with environment test processes (thermal vacuum, vibration, EMI/EMC, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of SMC-S-016: Test Requirements for Launch, Upper-Stage and Space Vehicles
  • Extensive troubleshooting experience using a broad range of hardware and software tools
  • Experience with complex and professional manufacturing and end-to-end test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred:
  • In-depth understanding of SMC-S-016: Test Requirements for Launch, Upper-Stage and Space Vehicles
  • Experience with automated software testing
  • Understanding of the application of Lean manufacturing techniques (e.g., White/Orange/Green Belt)
  • AI&T experience with commercial space vehicles or space systems from demonstration class through category-A missions
  • Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances
  • In-depth understanding of product development and verification methodologies.

  • Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
  • Rarely exposed to loud noises

  • Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $159,430.15 - $219,216.46
