This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished and dedicated Sr Scientist to utilize their skills and communication traits in complex research leadership and individual contribution. This position is critical to current initiatives/products/service offerings in nutritional products/foods for our globally focused corporation. This will be a highly influential role in research and development company-wide. A relocation allowance is offered for this position.

POSITION FOCUS:

1) Assumes project lead responsibilities for multiple projects in current product development with a focus in nutrients/vitamins/minerals

2) Works directly and closely with lab team members for planning/design/implementation/execution of general processes including conducting lab scale and bench top experiments as well as characterization/qualification of raw materials

3) Mentors more junior level scientists and technicians towards overall project optimizations including proper EHS standards in handling of equipment and materials,

4) Lead and/or influence multiple concurrent projects with ultimate timely delivery responsibilities

5) Works closely with global product managers in in multiple phases of the life-cycle from concept formation to hand-off to final testing stages

6) Collaborates with multiple internal groups such as marketing/supply chain/business development/research and dev teams in forming vision for new and existing product development strategies

QUALIFICATIONS:

1) A Bachelors degree (Masters a plus) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Food Sciences (or related discipline) from an accredited college/university.

2) Industry experience of no less than 5+ years with a particular focus on process and/or product development for commercialized purposes.

3) Prior project management experience is required.

4) A demonstrated ability to interface and communicate with internal stakeholders is critical, as is a desire to impact ultimate product development.

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per hour
