Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Sr. Manufacturing Supervisor in our Lincoln, NE factory. As the Sr. Manufacturing Supervisor, you'll be focused on driving performance excellence within New CAFI Breaker assembly across 3 shifts. This includes leading safety, on time delivery, quality, lean manufacturing and employee coaching and development.

What will you do?

  • Plan, supervise, direct and engage in daily production operations for New CAFI Breaker assembly across 3 shifts
  • Utilize skills, work hours, materials and work flow to achieve manufacturing objectives; exchange timely information with other supervisors on interdepartmental product flow and work force needs.
  • Plan, direct and control activities related to the manufacturing operations on safety, production, quality, lean manufacturing, interplant procurement, customer service, finance and human resources.
  • Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing Initiatives (Schneider Performance System) to drive continuous improvement across 3 shifts.
  • Instruct, train, orient, motivate and otherwise assist employees so that production and quality objectives are achieved.
  • Provide information and assist in the trouble shooting & diagnosis of tooling and equipment malfunctions; initiate efforts aimed at effecting cost reductions, work simplification or improvements in methods or equipment.
  • Encourage employee communication and endorse an open-door policy.
  • Work with all areas to implement World-Class techniques to shorten cycles and improve productivity by reducing fixed costs, connecting production, implementing preventative maintenance and changing equipment and processes
  • Define department strategy and initiatives to align with Company’s goals
  • Lead department activities for High Performance work culture and talent management
  • Promote collaboration, diversity and inclusion within the plant and the organization

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • BS degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or other equivalent field is required
  • 3+ years of manufacturing operations leadership experience, ranging from 100-300 hourly employees
  • Demonstrated success in application of Lean Manufacturing methodologies across 3 shifts
  • Solid understanding of OSHA guidelines and leading and strong safety culture.
  • Ability to drive Employee Engagement through leadership, communication, and building the respect at all levels of the organization.
  • ISO experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, results driven, ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent PC/Tablet and system knowledge, including the ability to analyze data within an MRP system, cloud based platforms (Tableau/AVEVA) and make affective assumptions to drive business results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
