Work Schedule: Eastern Time Zone, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm Hours: 40 per week MUST HAVE A PORTFOLIO LINK $43-46 hr

If you are a Sr. Writer that is looking for your next big challenge and a chance to do your best work ever, we should talk. Reporting to the Creative Director, CMX, the Sr. Writer will lead and/or support the writing and creative ideation for various projects and initiatives across Brand and marketing communications. We're looking for someone with top-notch writing and editing skills, including knowledge of proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar as well as a strong portfolio showing ideas brought to life across multiple channels. Knowledge of brand strategy and positioning is necessary, as is experience across a variety of media, including digital. You should have worked in a branding firm (or in-house) where the power of superior creative and big brand thinking is celebrated. You must have strong presentation skills with the ability to sell innovative creative ideas.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Generate and support innovative writing ideas that define, refine, and expand brand ideas and brand standards while ensuring consistency with the enterprise identity and brand voice. The types of writing could include: Brand manifestos Brand positioning, mission/vision/values Creative concept statements/value propositions Enterprise-level scripts for video and presentations Brand guidelines and case history copy
  • The ability to think strategically, understand how brand can help deliver business results and the power of positioning to articulate what makes a brand or an offer unique and relevant.
  • Bring ideas to life across a wide scope of projects through innovation and collaboration with internal stakeholders and business partners.
  • Understand and be able to write both creatively to inspire and strategically to help define the rules of how our brands and brand identities will show up to audiences.
  • Develop and maintain trusted partnerships with peers, internal business teams and external agencies.
  • Successfully use skills and knowledge to create compelling themes, ideas and designs that are on brand, and meet or exceed business objectives.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and primary trainer for brand voice in the enterprise brand practice

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of working as a Writer with an additional 2 years of experience as a Senior Writer at an agency and/or corporate environment.
  • Proven track record as a Writer, with a portfolio filled with examples of how their contributions assisted in the development of both creative and strategic writing.
  • Must have top-notch writing and editing skills, including knowledge of proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
  • Ability to lead and generate and support impactful ideas and executions that deliver and adhere to the brand vision and brand standards while ensuring consistency.
  • Ability to understand a marketing brief and translate the input into ideas.
  • Ability to demonstrate a passion for strategic and creative problem solving and deep understanding of design.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Well-organized and able to communicate ideas and develop strategies.
  • Strong team player with enthusiasm, positive attitude, and the willingness to do what it takes to get the job done, which may include extended hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills.
  • Technical skills include the Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and proficient on a Mac.

  • Health care and B2B experience
  • Ability to quickly understand business drivers and role of marketing in affecting behavior
  • Experience working in creative marketing agencies or marketing organizations
  • Familiarity/experience with writing brand standards, guidelines preferred

Education High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's Degree preferred in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Advertising/Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
