Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our orthopedic group. This position will be responsible for performing general accounting duties in accordance with the company’s accounting policies.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day general accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Conducts financial statement analysis and use of data analytics.
- Assists in developing and managing budgets.
- Gathers information and develops summaries as requested.
- Prepares and processes electronic refunds for patients and insurance payors.
- Assists with Accounts Receivable Coordination.
- Assists with Accounts Payable Coordination.
- Prepares analysis of accounts.
- Prepares end of month reports.
- Assists with internal and external audits.
- Maintains compliance with all accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Identifies and implements process improvements to streamline accounting processes.
- Participates in special projects as assigned by the CFO.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA preferred.
Work Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.

- Ability to perform mathematical computations accurately and quickly.
- Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to prepare records in accordance with detailed instructions.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships.

- Average visual acuity necessary to prepare or review documents or operate equipment.
- Ability to speak, frequently conveying detailed or important information or ideas accurately.
- Ability to hear normal speech, both in person and on the telephone.
