Job description
Performs responsible supervisory and administrative work directing, planning and coordinating one or more major programs or projects. Responsible for supervising subordinate staff members assigned to one or more work locations. Work is performed with considerable independence and the exercise of independent judgment under the general supervision of the department manager or other designated supervisor
- Schedules and assigns staffing in critical Department areas such as Field Operations and Communications
- Performs planning, organizing and scheduling of personnel to ensure that the organization’s staffing requirements and needs are fulfilled
- Completes daily staffing and projects staffing for critical positions throughout the organization
- Schedules emergency response units and personnel for training, special events and ceremonies
- Ensures oversight of light duty personnel
- Ensures weekly and end of pay period payroll entries are correct
- Administers the vacation selection processes
- Ensures that duties are performed in accordance with appropriate policies and labor contracts
- Develops and administers various reports and analysis related to Department staffing, vacancies, overtime, other relevant areas
- Performs other responsibilities required to provide the specific services of the assigned position
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or relevant field and two years of experience as a Staff Assistance, Administrative Assistant or similar role; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
