POSITION TITLE: Strength Coach/Lower School PE Teacher
DEPARTMENT: Athletics
SUPERVISOR: Athletics Director
STATUS: Full Time
FLSA: Exempt (Salaried)
HOURS OF WORK: TBD
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Essential
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting with the administration of the Athletics department and other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the scheduling, maintenance, and administration of the new state-of-the-art fitness center;- Program and coach Upper School strength programs for interscholastic teams, including football and lacrosse, and program and coach Upper School fitness classes;
- Assist in programming and coaching the Upper School intramural fitness program;
- Implement strength training curriculum into the Middle School athletics program;
- Lead summer strength training programs for all students;
- Program for and assist faculty and alumni;
- Teach Lower School PE and/or Lower School swimming;
- Oversee daily fitness center setup and schedule;
- Maintain essential technologies;
- Collaborate with teachers, coaches, and students; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
CSCS or equivalent strength training certified required;- Ability and desire to teach PE and/or swimming;
- Strong knowledge of Google Workspace including Google Drive, Documents, Sheets, and Forms;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Passion for general fitness, strength training, and speed development;
- Strong interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability to work as a member of a team;
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.
