Westminster Christian Academy is currently seeking a full-time Strength & Conditioning Teacher and Coach for the 2023-24 school year. Founded in 1976 as an independent, coeducational school, Westminster Christian Academy provides a comprehensive college preparatory program for 940 students in grades 7 through 12. The school is located in suburban St. Louis County, Missouri, on a 70-acre campus, 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis.

Westminster Christian Academy honors Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education, rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the Westminster Confession of Faith, for the children of Christian parents. Faculty and staff enable students to discover and embrace a biblical view of the world and integrate that view into every area of life.

Ideal candidates will possess strengths in the areas of relationship building, organization, technical expertise, and motivation.

Responsibilities
  • Full-time strength and conditioning teacher in the physical education department. Possibility of other PE classes assigned as needed
  • Work with coaches to design and implement an in-season strength and conditioning program for athletes
  • Design, implement, and oversee an off-season strength and conditioning program for athletes during the school year
  • Design, implement and manage a summer strength and conditioning program; responsibilities include the recruitment and training of workers, design of the program, and management of the program financials
Qualifications
  • A clear testimony of a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Membership or faithful attendance at an approved Protestant church congregation
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Contagious enthusiasm that engages athletes and inspires them to participate in strength and conditioning
  • Strong desire to develop and implement a vision for athlete development across all sports
  • National Strength and Conditioning Association or similar certification strongly preferred
  • Fulfillment of MSHSAA coaching requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to athletes, parents, and coaches
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for athletes
  • Strong and proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, communicate, and implement daily workout plans
