The Student Help Desk Technician will serve as the primary liaison between the IT department and students enrolled in virtual education classes at the Barnes Foundation. The individual should have a mix of technical and customer service skills. The individual should be passionate about technology and helping people. The individual will be responsible for managing support calls on the helpdesk telephone line and tickets in the ticket helpdesk system, escalating system-wide issues to the appropriate individuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize remote support software tools.
  • Manage support calls on the Help Desk Telephone Line.
  • Manage support tickets in the Help Desk Ticket System.
  • Track support activity, both calls and tickets, in the Help Desk Ticket System with detail-oriented notes.
  • Provide technical assistance in the configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware and software.
  • Utilize tools for remote troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware and software.
  • Train end users on troubleshooting and diagnosing common problems.
  • Embrace learning new technologies.

Skills and Knowledge:
1 year experience in an end-user support-related role.
