RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide project planning and scheduling support to projects within Subsea NAM group, including vessels. This candidate must be detail oriented, but able to understand projects from a top level perspective while strictly adhering to the foundational beliefs and core values of TechnipFMC.

  • Ability to develop vessel installation schedules with knowledge of vessel operations, sequence, timings and durations
  • Performs quality checks on vessel installation schedules
  • Develops schedules in order to mitigate risks and reduce costs
  • Work with vessel operations team to optimize sequence of projects in relation to each other
  • Quantifies delays (weather, breakdown, variation order) and to prepares the extension of time analysis
  • Ability to support regional asset schedules and global reporting
  • Able to interface with Commercial team in preparation of tender schedules related to vessel activities.
  • Able to interface with Operations Department and develop vessel campaign building as part of vessels strategy.
  • Defines and optimizes the necessary resources (E-P-C-I)
  • Defines the Planning & Scheduling system (methods, procedures, time-schedules, physical progress, dashboards, etc.)
  • Defines for the Management, the Proposal Manager and the Estimation Department a Contract duration realistic and feasible for execution
  • Defines the Project Breakdown Structures
  • Supports Client approval process of the Schedule Baseline, progress claimed or milestones achievement
  • Increases Project team members’ awareness of the Project Milestones, main durations and critical paths
  • Monitors and controls the project status, to detect any delay and to propose corrective actions
  • Provides Project Feedback and Lessons Learned in order to improve the Planning & Scheduling methods and provide input to the statistics of Planning Department
  • May supervise or train less experienced colleagues, mainly on small and middle size projects
  • Facilitates communications between cross-company and cross-functional teams to ensure scheduling conflicts are identified early and solutions accurately incorporated into schedules and processes.
  • Ensures cooperation and interaction across diverse stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization.
  • Utilizes excellent presentation skills to present to a diverse group of interests, including project managers, analysts, and other key stakeholders.
  • Conducts and/or participates in schedule audits and schedule reviews to ensure schedule accuracy and validity requirements are met.
  • Supports the development, review and Contract requirements for Baseline Schedule.
  • Collaborates with the project team by identifying major milestones, critical approvals and long lead procurement items.
  • Determines reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.
  • Evaluates critical and near critical path activity sequences.
  • Assesses or validate actual progress.
  • Monitors schedule changes and trends
  • Suggests corrective actions and/or develops recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur.
  • Reviews all contractual documentation in regards to project planning and project controls.
  • Prepares the monthly progress reports for the client and the internal reporting for the Project Manager
  • Provides project feedback and lessons learned in order to improve the Planning & Scheduling methods and provide input to the statistics of the Planning and Scheduling Department

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Procurement, Operations or a technical degree in a related field.
  • Relevant job experience can substitute the required degree and a technical background is a plus.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in Project execution is required.
  • 5 to 7 years working in Subsea Oil and Gas industry with vessel schedules required.
  • Experience with developing and maintaining subsea installation schedules required.
  • Willingness to work nights & weekends when the vessels are in operations. May need to support projects offshore or at mobilization site.
  • Ability to coordinate & organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment using effective communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work on schedules in live meetings with schedule projected for team engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills and strong skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • This position requires extensive project planning software knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Must have a strategic understanding of Project Planning and MRP.
  • Contractual review experience preferred.
  • Professional individual capable of interfacing with clients and speak on behalf of TechnipFMC.
  • Willingness to develop an understanding of the communication process and ensures effectiveness (written, verbal and listening) across functional and managerial boundaries.
  • Experience with project negotiations, multi-site interfaces, and commercial management of contracts, supplier quality systems, and implementation of project management strategies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Spend 90% time in an office environment and/or 10% travel. May be exposed to possible hazards including noise, outdoor temperature extremes, chemicals, pressure testing, heavy lift operations and shop/field traffic when visiting areas outside of the office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Office environment requires sitting, operating a computer, walking and some lifting. Hands-on labor in shop and/or field environment, which requires lifting, walking, stooping, bending, and some climbing. Potential to travel to client offices to participate in project meetings. Some exposure to possible shop hazards including high noise, heavy machinery, and shop traffic.
