Utah Community Action is hiring for Summer School Teachers. This position earns a competitive wage of $16. 75/hour without a CDA or $17.59/hour with a CDA or degree. We have several positions available. This is a Summer position only (May 17-Aug 5) that works 40 hours a week. We have 4 locations throughout the Salt Lake Valley including; South Salt Lake, Magna, West Valley City, and Rosepark.

You are eligible for paid time off (PTO) and holiday paid. Not benefit eligible however.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Summer Teacher, you come to work each day excited and ready to make a difference in children's lives. Working cooperatively with another teacher, you teach a class of approx. 17 children each, ages 3-5yrs. You help develop weekly lesson plans to ignite the curiosity and growth of the children in our preschool.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an associate or baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education/Family and Consumer Studies or a related field preferred. One year of related experience preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

OTHER DUTIES

• Assists in planning, supporting, and implementing learning experiences that advance the children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Establishes and maintains a safe, healthy learning environment.
