The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) operates the Orlando International Airport (MCO), a world-class commercial airport serving more than 50 million passengers each year, and the Orlando Executive Airport (ORL), Central Florida’s premiere general aviation facility.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Verify that OEA’s tenants and users comply with all applicable rules, regulations and agreements. Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) primary contact and direct liaison with tenants during non-office hours at the airport. Maintain all facets of airfield safety and security, provide necessary assistance to the public, fixed based operators (FBO), and tenants. Responsible for airfield safety including tenant, buildings & air operations areas (AOA); perform inspections to evaluate operating conditions. Remove foreign object debris (FOD) from the movement area as requested by Air Traffic Control. Issue NOTAMs when required. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in Airport Management, Business Management or related field, and two (2) years experience in the aviation/airport operations ,military service or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Must have strong familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations and knowledgeable in all facets of airport operations.
  • Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft office products required.
  • Must be able to work independently and dependable.
  • Must have the ability to solve problems independently and operate a two-way radio.
  • Must have good communication skills, ability to deal professionally with the public and demonstrated skill to organize and prioritize work.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts to include nights, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license required.
