TheSupply Chain Scheduler is the person responsible for scheduling supply and demand in the Ithaca facility. He/she ensures that executable plans & schedules are in place for the Drums of the Operation Floor, to support on time delivery to the customers. He/She will communicate with the Customer Service & Procurement teams to align the flow of material to meet our customers’ demand and strive for 95% Schedule conformance and 98% On-Time Delivery to the Customer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure and maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all PPE requirements. Contribute to a Safety First Culture by identifying Risky Situations.
• Maintains a detailed visual schedule that manages key constraints of the Operation Floor, using drum-buffer-rope scheduling method.
• Establish MRP schedule to meet build and procurement optimization, stock replenishment and on-time delivery to customers.
• Monitors materials inventories, tracks progress of production, and reviews factors which affect schedules
• Collaborates with the Plant Manager and/or Director of Supply Chain to develop plans for optimizing inventory levels (Safety Stock, Obsolete Inventory Scrap, etc..)
• Sequences jobs so that molding operation delivers high quality products in time to meet job due date.
• Identifies and escalates sales order booking issues and on-time delivery.
• In collaboration with Engineering, ensures timely/accurate Bill of Material, BOM, management to align with Engineering change Orders, ECO, and new product introduction.
• Collaborates with Operations to execute Shop Floor Plus work processes that guarantee accurate inventory and accurate job tracking.
• Collaborates with quality to ensure maximization of shipments to customer.
• Identify and escalate the correction of MRP errors that impact job scheduling (e.g. yield, material lead time, capacity constraints, etc.)
• Identify and initiate corrective actions to recurring root causes that cause missed schedules.
• With support of manager, leads continuous improvement projects that will improve scheduling and execution of material delivery. Follow all safety procedures.

Qualifications Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or One to Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using MRP tools and management of related data.
• Knowledge of Capacity planning, shop floor scheduling, and other MRP applications and visual pull systems.
• Knowledge of materials practices converting forecast to MRP and Capacity Planning within a Lean factory environment.
• InforXA ERP application experience is highly desirable
• US citizenship required. Ability to follow directions from and communicate with supervisors, technicians, and co-workers in a professional manner.
